REVELATION can be termed as the act of revealing or disclosing that which was covered. It can also be a manifestation of divine will or truth; God’s disclosure of His own nature and His purpose for Mankind especially through the words of Human intermediaries.

Revelation as known in Greek as ‘Apocalypsis’ is derived from the combination of ‘Apo’ (from) and ‘Calypsis’ (covering). Literally, this word means: a disclosing/uncovering of something previously hidden. Romans 16:25.

A revelation can be in form of a sign, a warning, an omen, a forewarning, an exposure/disclosure especially of something not previously known or realized.

The last book of the New Testament; contains visionary descriptions of heaven and things to come. Revelations 1:1

Two important things we need to know about Revelations this year

1. God would reveal Himself to as many that thirst for Him. Romans 3:11-12, 1st Peter 1:13 He would open the eyes of many to understand the deep things in His word. Isaiah 55;8-9
2. God would take some to a level of receiving revelations of mysteries and secret things to come. Daniel 2:22&28, Amos 3:7

God wants to take us to a level of visions and dreams, learning from Him personally like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who didn’t need to be taught things but was revealed to them from God. God wants to reveal to us the secrets to success in our nations, in homes, in marriages, in our career, in business, in ministry and all spheres of life.

Whichever category you fall in or want from Him; keep your heart open because indeed year 2015 is our year of Revelation. Shalom!
