Genesis 3:6

Genesis 3:6

Scripture:- Genesis 3:6
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”
God has created us for His glory therefore the onus is on us to ensure that we use all that we are and all that we have to His glory.  Especially, we need to glorify God with our body because our body is the temple of God.  Our eyes form a crucial part of our body, without it the whole body will be in darkness.  What we watch with our eyes as human beings can make or break us therefore there is a need to take caution and exercise self-control with the use of our eyes.  Our eyes have been made such as to make us absorb a lot of information just within some seconds so you can now imagine how analytical we could become about the things that we perceive appreciably.  That is the reason why we cannot afford to watch unethical things which do not edify and glorify God.  If Eve had rebuked the serpent immediately the issue of taking the forbidden fruit was brought up, she would not have fallen a victim.  The word of God says that we should flee from every appearance of evil.  Taking a second look at the forbidden fruit was her downfall because the more she looked, the more the enemy manipulated her to see good things about the tree and she became analytical giving herself away to reason along with the justification for her disobedience.  This is exactly what is happening in our world today as people are giving their precious time to time wasters and destiny destroyers in a subtle way.  Let us reflect from time to time on what we spend our time watching and ask ourselves if God is glorified with what we watch and in how we spend our time.  May we be counted worthy of good accountability of the precious life which has been given to us by God at the end of our race in Jesus name.
