Passage: Ecclesiastes ‭11:1, 5-6

“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

God is saying to you in this new year that you should worship Him with all your resources fearlessly and without any reservation as a child of God. It will be profitable if you can make up your mind this year to surrender all that you have at His feet and allow the Spirit of God to guide you in how to make use of your resources this year. It is not only about money but what about your time, talent, love and other material resources. If you can take a leap of faith in provoking the blessing of God with all that you have, surely there will be pleasant surprises in great manifestation beyond what you could have asked or imagined. He is saying to you that you should just walk in this simple obedience of giving without giving it a thought about how or when He will repay you back. Be ready this year to worship God with all your being and all that you have and wait to see how He would move on your behalf to honour you in a grand way. Calculation will fail this year so why not avoid the heartache that this can bring and surrender all your resources so that Holy Spirit can take over the management of your resources. Our God is our High Tower so He is more than able to see us through and guide us in the profitable direction where we cannot be put to shame.

Prayer Point

  1. Lord, I surrender all my resources at your feet, let the Holy Spirit be my Manager.
  2. My household and I will not suffer loss of resources or suffer shame this year, I declare that we shall live in surplus in the year 2017 and beyond.
